As a young man, Louis Sarno heard a song on the radio that stayed with him. He followed the mysterious sounds to the Central African rainforest, discovering music from the Bayaka Pygmies, and deciding to stay with them. Today, 25 years later, Louis is a full member of the community of hunter-gatherers.

In this modern epic, journalist and filmmaker Michael Obert accompanies American musicologist Louis Sarno and his son, the young Samedi, on their journey from the African rainforest to New York City.

A film about the love of music, nature, the world and the love between father and son. A film about the state of the world and about homeland, identity, alienation, interculturality and globalization at the beginning of the 21st century.
